If our Vehicle is a “replacement vehicle” as defined in section 17-104 of the Ontario Transportation Code, the liability insurance coverage on the vehicle being replaced (Your vehicle) is primary, and any liability coverage. We provide on the Vehicle is secondary. If our Vehicle is not a “replacement vehicle,” the liability coverage that you maintain provides primary coverage of our Vehicle: (a) if that coverage is not provided by MAIF; and (b) upon our confirmation with your insurance carrier (other than MAIF) that the insurance you maintain provides valid and collectible coverage of our vehicle in the amounts required under § 17-103(B) of the Transportation Section of the Ontario Code.
Notice: This contract offers, for an additional charge, a collision damage waiver to cover your responsibility for damage to the vehicle. Before deciding whether to purchase the collision damage waiver, you may wish to determine whether your own automobile insurance affords you coverage for damage to the rental vehicle or shared motor vehicle and the amount of the deductible under your own insurance coverage. The purchase of a collision damage waiver is not mandatory and may be waived. Ontario law requires that all Ontario residents’ insurance policies with collision coverage automatically extend that collision coverage to passenger cars rented or motor vehicles shared by the insureds named in the policy for a period of 30 days or less. The cost of our damage waiver is $___ per day or $______estimated for the entire rental period. By signing below, you acknowledge that you received this notice before you signed the rental agreement.

Optional insurance policies that we offer may duplicate coverage already provided by your personal automobile insurance policy, homeowner’s insurance policy, personal
liability insurance policy, or another source of coverage. You should check the terms and conditions of your automobile insurance policy to determine if coverage is provided for the rental. The purchase of insurance is not required as a condition of renting a vehicle.
